Ready, Set, Go!
How might we run pilots in a way that seamlessly leverages our disparate teams?
Like many industries, healthcare is highly regulated and numerous discrete teams are responsible for individual elements of mitigating risk to our consumers and organization. Part of my team’s responsibility is testing new technology and tools to determine if they’re an appropriate match for our organization and the ideal use case within our broad network. In order to conduct these tests, we work cross-collaboratively with dozens of teams within their own processes and systems.
Through expert interviews with numerous teams, I created a map of how projects move through overlapping systems within the organization. This process also allowed me to identify ways to simplify redundancies and move projects forward faster.
In order to facilitate ongoing knowledge management and ease the onboarding of new team members, I created two complementary tools. A one-page template captures all of the necessary information for knowledge management and includes steps in order to ensure pilots can be moved forward as fast a possible. A Launch Guide describes the purpose and process of each step in order as well as identifies the key stakeholders and tips for success in navigating each step and process.
